London City Lionesses can confirm that forward Sarah Ewens has completed a permanent transfer to Scottish Women’s Premier League outfit Rangers for an undisclosed fee.
The agreement marks the end of the 31-year-old’s stint at Princes Park, which yielded the Barclays Women’s Championship Golden Boot in addition to significant off-field contributions under Melissa Phillips and Nikita Runnacles.
Ewens, who joined the Pride from Birmingham City in July 2022, was a standout performer last term, recording 15 goals and three assists in 23 appearances for the Club.
“I really enjoyed last season with an amazing group of players and staff who pushed me and helped me grow a lot as a player,” said the Edinburgh-born striker.
“I’ve made some amazing memories with a special team, who I’ll always be grateful to. I’m very thankful for the belief that Mel placed in me, she played a massive part in the season I had and the way I contributed to the team.”
Ewens returns to Scotland with the Pride's deepest thanks and best wishes for the future.
