Match Report: London City Lionesses 4-0 Gwalia United

London City Lionesses advanced to the Fourth Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday [8 December], producing a dominant performance to overcome National League Gwalia United.

Isobel Goodwin opened the scoring for London City, before Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, Shen Mengyu, and Miljana Ivanovic found twine to complete the four-nil scoreline.

Emily Orman’s reinstatement between the posts was Jocelyn Precheur’s only major line-up alteration, with Megan Campbell also drawing into the line-up at centre-half.

The Pride were first-class performances from kick-off until the final whistle, with Georgia Brougham and Kosovare Asllani setting the tempo in midfield in the first half.

Orman was rarely tested, with Gwalia United’s efforts limited to half-chances from long-distance.

London City’s win extends their Women’s FA Cup journey into the Fourth Round, with Barclays Women’s Super League sides set to enter the competition.

The Pride return to Hayes Lane in a week’s time, with Southampton visiting South London in the Barclays Women’s Championship.
