Match Report: London City Lionesses 2-0 Charlton Athletic

Isobel Goodwin and Sofia Jakobsson fired London City Lionesses to a 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic in the Barclays Women's Championship on Sunday [13 October].

Jocelyn Prêcheur made three alterations to his line-up, with Emily Orman, Sofia Jakobsson, and Kosovare Asllani replace Grace Moloney, Grace Neville, and Lucy Fitzgerald.

Charlton Athletic made an imposing start to the match, but were unable to make their mark while in the ascendancy and paid the price after the break.

Isobel Goodwin opened the scoring in the 54th minute, converting Jakobsson's back post cross with a powerful header.

Twenty minutes later, Jakobsson added her name to the scoresheet, assisted by Asllani, with a well-timed one-on-one finish against Sophie Whitehouse.

The Pride return to Hayes Lane on Sunday, 10 November, hosting Birmingham City in the Barclays Women's Championship.
