London City Lionesses sign Shae Yanez

London City Lionesses are delighted confirm the signing of goalkeeper Shae Yanez, their second new player to join the squad for the 2020/21 season.

Born in Pennsylvania, and fresh from a spell in Spain with Santa Teresa, the former Washington Spirit shot-stopper has joined the FA Women’s Championship side.

Speaking about the 23 year old, London City Lionesses Head Coach, Lisa Fallon said, “Shae is an incredibly driven professional with an insatiable work ethic.

“Her presence, strength and resilience are striking for a young player and we are very excited about supporting her development and letting her character and ability shine in our squad.

“Our supporters will love Shae. She’s a real lioness! A protector of the Pride and a person who will give everything for our team.”

Having now joined up with the rest of the squad at Princes Park, Yanez was full of praise for the set-up. “I am really excited to join the London City Lionesses for the upcoming season. The standards, professionalism and facilities are absolutely amazing and are a few of the reasons why I decided to join this club.

“The culture and environment set forth by the coaches, staff, and players provides an atmosphere for players to not only grow and learn every day, but also be challenged and competitive.”
