The 24-year-old arrived at Princes Park last summer, joining on a free transfer from Barclays Women’s Super League outfit West Ham United.

The Englishwoman quickly solidified her place in the starting line-up under Melissa Phillips and Nikita Runnacles, making 22 appearances in all competitions.

Joel, who can play on both sides of the defence, has been in preseason training since the squad returned to K Sports Cobdown on Monday [17 July] and is off to a fast start under First Team Assistant Coach Nicola Williams.

“It's been really good to get in and start preseason,” said Joel.

“It's an exciting time with the appointment of the new coaches and it's been great to meet them and see what they're about. We've been focusing a lot on building our footwork, speed, and aerobic base, which has been a great way to start."

Lois is back for another season with the Pride – and now it’s your chance to join her.

London City Lionesses is proud to offer family-friendly and affordable season tickets, with prices starting from just £5.45 per match.
