The countdown begins...
London City Lionesses have confirmed their Continental Cup group-stage today after it was announced live on TalkSport 2.
The Pride have drawn into Group E where they will face Birmingham City FC Women, Brighton & Hove Albion Women, and West Ham Women.
London City are one of 12 teams in the Southern Section of the Continental Cup, where they will face each team in Group E once. The top team in each group will then advance into the quarter-finals.
The 2020/21 Continental Cup campaign for London City proved to be a tough one as they faced Arsenal Women, Tottenham Women and the Continental Cup defending champions, Chelsea FC Women.
This year has been a summer of highly talented signings and a strong returning squad. If Preseason is anything to determine the outlook of the upcoming season, the Pride plan to return to the Continental Cup focused, optimistic and ready for an exciting group stage.
