Irish International Hayley Nolan joins The Pride

London City Lionesses are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Hayley Nolan.

The 23-year-old Republic of Ireland international joins #ThePride following a four-year scholarship with Hartford Hawks at the University of Hartford, Connecticut, where she played in the NCAA Division 1, making 68 starts across 70 games

Born and raised in County Kildare, Ireland, the former Peamount United player was a 2x team captain, 2x All-Conference player, and a 2x All-East Regional Selection. Hayley has also represented the Republic of Ireland at all underage levels before receiving her first senior call-up in October 2019 for a UEFA Women’s Euros 2021 qualifying match v Ukraine.

On signing Hayley said, "I’m really excited to be joining London City Lionesses. This is a new club with big ambitions and I’m excited to be involved in the development of the club and also to be in an environment where I believe I will be challenged and pushed to improve my game."


In response Head Coach Lisa Fallon commented, "Hayley is a player I've known for some time and she is a quality addition to our squad. She possesses tremendous leadership skills and is a wholly committed person and I have no doubt she will prove to be a big success at our club."

Hayley who will wear the No.15 shirt in this year’s London City Lionesses squad. Earlier today Hayley was named today in the Irish Women’s National Team squad, together with fellow Lioness Alli Murphy, for their forthcoming UEFA Women’s Euro Qualifier against Germany on 19th September.  

Before that though, both players are hard at work with the rest of the squad preparing for the start of the new FA Women’s Championship season, which sees London City Lionesses kick off their campaign on Sunday 6th of September against Sheffield United at Princes Park, Dartford.
