Goalkeeper Hermione Cull signs for London City Lionesses from Arsenal

London City Lionesses are pleased to announce that Hermione Cull has joined the team, signing from Arsenal.

Working her way up the Gunners youth academy, Cull is a highly promising goalkeeper, who has already made the bench for a number of key matches, including Champions League ties.

Cull also joins the Pride fresh off England youth camp.

When asked for her thoughts on signing for the Lionesses, Cull said:

“It’s a great feeling to have got my first pro contract, and I can’t wait to show the world what I’m made of.

“I remember that I had a gut feeling that I would like this place, and I was really drawn to the drive that Mel and the rest of the coaching staff have that they bring into training.

“I can’t wait to get going, make some new connections, and start to broaden my learning environment.”

Speaking on the arrival of Cull, Head Coach, Melissa Phillips:

“Hermione is an enthusiastic and determined goalkeeper.

“She is fresh off an England youth national team camp and eager to make her mark within our squad.

“She comes from a high level training background in the Arsenal youth setup while also bringing experience in the squad of the first team.

“We know she will come in and challenge us to make our goalkeeping department even more competitive.

“Great to have H on board at London City.”
