The ball-playing defender joined from Leicester City in August 2023 and made 26 appearances in the Barclays Women’s Championship, Adobe Women’s FA Cup, and Continental Tyres League Cup last term.

“The Club’s vision for the future is incredibly exciting,” said Brougham of her decision to return for a second season in blue. “It was a rebuilding year for us last year, but that experience will spur us on to do better and achieve our ambitions this time.

“I’m a winner, it hurt to be where we were in the table last season, and I just want to keep improving. You never stop learning as a player and, with a new manager coming in, it’s important that I’m able to adapt, advance my game, and become an experienced senior player.”

Brougham was a mainstay at the heart of our defence in her first season at the Club and saw her contributions recognised when she was voted Players’ Player of the Season by a landslide margin.

Director of Football Ronald Thompson added: “Georgia brings a certain level of calmness to the game as a player. She’s one of those players who can defend when it’s frantic and calms the play down when she has the ball.

“We see Georgia as a vital individual to help us on the journey that we’re moving forward with. We want players who are good people and Georgia is a good person on and off the pitch.”

Brougham lifted the League Cup with Manchester City in 2014, before transfers saw her represent Everton, Birmingham City, and Leicester City in the Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Championship.
